Chrysler Recalls Dodge Challenger After Vehicle Earns Top Safety Rating

If that occurs while the vehicle is in use, it could go on for a few minutes and the gauges may end up swinging between cruising speeds and zero, making the driving much more dangerous to the driver. According to experts, this problem is just as dangerous as having a blacked-out digital speedometer since the driver may not be aware of how fast he or she is going.

Fiat Chrysler has announced the recall right after announcing its 2015 Dodge Challenger had been awarded a five-star safety rating. Nevertheless, consumers impacted should not ignore the campaign, especially because an unfixed circuitry could boost the chances of an auto accident.

The impacted units include all 2015 Dodge Challenger vehicles that were manufactured between June 30 and October 4th of 2014. At least 11,600 units were impacted.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s latest reports regarding car safety tests, the 2015 Dodge Challenger was one of the few models to have received a five-star safety rating. The system is known as forwarding Collision Warning System the Challenger model is equipped with is one of the features praised by the federal regulators during the safety tests. The model also comes with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross path detection.

The recalled vehicles should be fixed immediately so people are safe from being involved in accidents caused by a blinking display problem.
